str.center(width: int, fillchar: str = ' ') → pyspark.pandas.series.Series¶ Filling left and right side of strings in the Series/Index with an additional character. Equivalent to
str.center().- Parameters
- widthint
Minimum width of resulting string; additional characters will be filled with fillchar.
- fillcharstr
Additional character for filling, default is whitespace.
- Returns
- Series of objects
Examples
>>> s = ps.Series(["caribou", "tiger"]) >>> s 0 caribou 1 tiger dtype: object
>>> s.str.center(width=10, fillchar='-') 0 -caribou-- 1 --tiger--- dtype: object
